JRA doesn’t have multiple Turf Grade 1 meeting day

Like Breeders’ Cup, HKIR, Dubai WC Day

Japanese main circuit is happening at JRA tracks (Japan Racing Association). Then, NAR, National Association of Racing, is now trying to climb up to the world stage based on the racing development at mainly Oi Racetrack in Tokyo.

They are controlled by the Japanese government, especially Ministry of Fishery and Forestry since the gambling itself is prohibited. Why Racing can be formed is they pay a lot of taxes that will be used for the development of agriculture, and each local government. Because of such contribution, both organizations are allowed to open wagering. Because of such reasons, JRA and NAR won’t be able to freely create their racing calendars.

Like other countries, Breeders’ Cup, Hong Kong International Races, Dubai World Cup Day, hope Japanese racing will have multiple Grade 1 racing day, on Turf (Dirt has Japanese Breeding Farms Cup Day).

Morning Line Favorite is…?

Dolce More (By Rulership out of Ayusan by Deep Impact)

Probably one of the Japanese racing fan’s is Dolce More. He is out of Ayusan, Oka-sho ( Japanese 1000 guineas) winner by Deep Impact & has won Saudi Arabia Royal Cup that has sent out lots of later Grade 1 winners. He will welcome new jock, young rising star Ryusei Sakai as his pilot.

Obamburumai (By Discreet Cat out of Pink Gerbera by Deep Impact)

He was super big shot at the Keio-hai Nisai Stakes (G2). He has beaten later stakes winners and etc. This is also held in Tokyo and produce many good future milers. If Obamburumai is true talented horse, I guess he can overcome Hanshin mile course and could be the winner.

Corpus Christi (By Epiphaneia out of Red Sombrero by King Kamehameha)

I’m not comfortable with this one. I mean I will have to really watch out…

He is bred by Northern Farm, owned by Katsumi Yoshida, trained by Mitsu Nakauchida. Jockey will be David Egan from UK. Then he has won 7 Furlongs Stakes at Hanshin about a month ago. Don’t you think he will be having a good potential to be a dark horse?
